All our courses, workshops, talks & events, are offered free of charge, not just in Brahma Kumaris Calgary Centre but in all our centres both across the Canada & Worldwide.
We are a Registered Charity status No. 891638520 RR0001 with Canada Revenue Agency and never charge for any of our events so that what we offer is available to all.
Our founder, Brahma Baba, created the principle behind our thinking in 1937 when he established a spiritual university for the world. His vision was to provide opportunities for people from all religions & backgrounds to develop their spiritual potential so that they could experience peace, love, and personal empowerment on a daily basis. To do this he trained meditation teachers from all backgrounds to serve every corner of the society free of charge. This is why all the events, talks, courses, facilities provided by our centres, retreat centres, or inner spaces’ are offered free of charge.
All the team who work and present at Brahma Kumaris Calgary Centre give their time and talents freely. We aim to nurture the very best in ourselves so that we can naturally enjoy sharing something of value with others.
How do we fund ourselves?
Although all work is carried out voluntarily by practising meditators, there are, of course, substantial costs involved in running a place like Brahma Kumaris Calgary Centre. We are able to continue our work because of the contributions made by those who have taken benefit and want others to receive the same.
There are no membership fees. If you wish to contribute, you are most welcome to use any of the following donation options:
1. There are donation boxes in the Brahma Kumaris Calgary Centre which you can contribute either in Cash or Cheque having name “Brahma Kumaris Calgary”.
2. Donations are also accepted online, and you can click on Make a Donation button below. You will be taken to Paypal page where you can make a payment either using a PayPal account (if you have one) or using a debit/credit card. To make a payment using a debit/credit card, on the PayPal screen, select the second option which reads “Donate with a Card”. To have your donation recognized by us and if you want to receive a tax receipt from us at the end of the year, you will have to click on the option “Share your mailing address with Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual Organization (Calgary) so they can acknowledge your donation.”
